１９８６年以来对国内外均认为困难或不易施行经皮髓核摘除术的腰、骶间隙做了技术上的研讨，使经皮髓核摘除术的适应范围更加扩大，并可在不用Ｘ线控制下施行操作。文章重点对操作中的穿刺定点、皮肤切口、穿刺方法、套管插入、钻切纤维环及摘除髓核等各操作程序中可能遇到的困难和经皮髓核摘除术可能发生的副损伤及并发症加以探讨，并介绍了防范和处理办法。
